Blackburn Rovers forward Saffron Jordan has signed a new professional contract with the club.
The Lancashire club shared their latest squad update via a post on their official club website.
Jordan has been on Blackburn Rovers’ books for the last seven years. The forward helped the club to win back-to-back-to-back FA Women National League Northern Premier Division titles in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 and she has been a threat to opposition defences in her three seasons in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Jordan has made 51 appearances for Blackburn Rovers in the elite game in the last three years while she has scored 11 goals. The player netted four times last season as Gemma Donnelly’s side ended the campaign in 10th position in the Barclays Women’s Championship table. The striker is an important member of the Blackburn Rovers side and the club will therefore be delighted to retain her services for another year.
In total, 12 members of Blackburn Rovers’ 2021/2022 squad are now contracted with the club for the upcoming season. Jordan has joined teammates Hannah Coan, Alex Brooks, Helen Seed, Emma Doyle, Lauren Thomas, Ellie Leek, Farah Crompton, Megan Hornby, Jade Richards, Kayleigh McDonald and Natasha Fenton in signing a contract extension with the Lancashire club during the close season.
