Ticket sales for Arsenal’s fixture against Manchester United top 30,000

Ticket sales for Arsenal’s upcoming Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Manchester United have now exceeded 30,000.

The Gunners provided an update on ticket sales earlier today via a post on their official club Twitter account.

The news comes off the back of Arsenal breaking the Barclays Women’s Super League’s long-standing attendance record earlier this season when 47,367 fans packed the Emirates Stadium out for the club’s North London derby fixture against Tottenham Hotspur. Arsenal fans will have enjoyed that game with Jonas Eidevall’s side coming out 4-0 winners.

Arsenal’s latest Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Manchester United sees them come up against one of the league’s early season pace-setters. The Red Devils went into this weekend’s action level on points with Arsenal, however, they have since fallen behind with Manchester United going down 3-1 to Chelsea at the Leigh Sports Village last night.

While Arsenal have an impressive home record, Manchester United are one of the few opponents to prove problematic in recent times. Marc Skinner’s side defeated The Gunners 1-0 in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup back in January while the two sides drew 1-1 at the LV Bet Stadium in the league. The latest encounter again promises to be a tight affair.
