PREVIEW: Manchester City v Brighton & Hove Albion

Manchester City will be aiming to record an eighth consecutive win in all competitions when Brighton & Hove Albion are the visitors to The Academy Stadium this afternoon.

The Cityzens have displayed solid title credentials in recent weeks and Gareth Taylor’s side will be hoping to continue their momentum into the Christmas break. This afternoon, Manchester City come up against a Brighton & Hove Albion side who have improved under the guidance of interim manager Amy Merricks, The Seagulls having taken up a licence to thrill with their prolific goalscoring in recent weeks.

Manchester City head coach Taylor could again be without the services of forward Lauren Hemp. The player is nearing a return following a thigh injury but it is highly unlikely that she will be risked against Brighton & Hove Albion. Midfielder Vicky Losada is also set to be sidelined again.

Brighton & Hove Albion have no new injury concerns to contend with ahead of their latest match. Defender Rebekah Stott and midfielder Maisie Symonds continue to be sidelined through long-term injury and illness.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm. Tickets remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
