BK Häcken yet to receive serious offer from Manchester United for defender Wijk

Swedish club BK Häcken have confirmed that they are yet to receive a concrete offer from Manchester United for the services of highly-rated full-back Hanna Wijk.

The update has been provided by well-respected journalist Amanda Zaza via Swedish media outlet Fotbollskanalen earlier today.

Rumours that Manchester United could move for Wijk have been gathering pace in recent weeks, however, no arrangement seems to be on the table just yet, although we are at a very early point in the transfer window.

There could be some quite significant movement at Manchester United this month with head coach Marc Skinner potentially looking to implement a few adjustments to his squad. Some fringe players could be moved on or sent out on loan and their spaces in the squad would need to be backfilled with more quality.

Teenager Wijk is a versatile player who can be utilised in various defensive or midfield positions. The youngster is believed to be most at home playing at full-back. Wijk has spent the last two seasons with BK Häcken. She made 24 appearances for the club in the Damallsvenskan in 2022 as BK Häcken finished the campaign as runners-up.

The defender could go on to bigger and better things in the future but at least for now, she remains a BK Häcken player.
