Arsenal complete the signing of Canadian international keeper D’Angelo

Arsenal have completed the signing of Canadian international goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Arsenal.

The 29-year-old keeper joins The Gunners following a four-year spell with Swedish Damallsvenskan club Vittsjo GIK. The player has also previously played her football in the United States with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Toronto Lady Lynx, Western New York Flash and North Carolina Courage. D’Angelo won the NWSL title with both Western New York Flash and North Carolina Courage while she also won two NWSL Shields with the latter club.

On the international stage, D’Angelo has been capped by the Canadian national team on 12 occasions. She made her senior debut for her country at the 2016 Algarve Cup. The player won an Olympic Bronze Medal with Canada in Rio in 2016.

After completing her move to Arsenal, D’Angelo said “It feels amazing – it’s an honour to be here and I’m so excited to get started with the team.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for Arsenal Women and I want to help the team to win trophies and achieve success for our wonderful supporters.”

D’Angelo will provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger alongside back-up Kaylan Marckese during her time with Arsenal.
