Manchester United have completed the signing of French defender Estelle Cascarino on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain for the remainder of the season.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Manchester United this afternoon.
Cascarino is in her second season with Paris Saint-Germain after joining the club in summer 2021. The 25-year-old has also previously represented Lyon, Paris FC and Bordeaux in her senior playing career to date.
On the international stage, Cascarino made her senior debut for France in 2017 and she has gone on to be capped by her country on five occasions. The player is currently out of the picture at international level but Cascarino’s loan move to Manchester United could help to reignite her career for the French national team.
After securing her loan move to Manchester United, Cascarino said “I am so happy and excited to be here. I want to grow as a player and a person, and help the team win trophies. On the pitch, I am a fighter and like to help the team in both attack and
defence. I cannot wait to get started here in England.”
Cascarino becomes Manchester United’s second signing of the January transfer window. The club also announced the addition of Canadian international defender Jayde Riviere on a permanent deal earlier today.
