Leicester City forward Flint joins Celtic on loan

Leicester City forward Natasha Flint has joined Glasgow giants Celtic on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this morning.

The news comes as no surprise with Flint having been heavily linked with a move north of the border for a couple of weeks.

The 26-year-old has been with Leicester City since joining the club on a free transfer in summer 2020. She helped the club to win promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2020/2021 and played a part in keeping the East Midlands outfit in the top flight last season.

Flint has appeared in nine Barclays Women’s Super League matches for Leicester City this term but she has been given just five starts. Her only goal came as The Foxes lost 2-1 to Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium at the end of October. Flint may have found game time difficult to come by at Leicester City in the remaining weeks of the season, especially given the recent arrival of Australian international forward Remy Siemsen, therefore she has moved out on loan to Celtic.

The forward could be in-line to make her debut for her loan club when Celtic face Aberdeen in the Scottish Women’s Premier League on Sunday.
