Women’s FA Cup final ticket sales reach 65,000

Ticket sales for the 2022/2023 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley have now reached 65,000.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official press release from The Football Association this afternoon.

This year’s final will see current Vitality Women’s FA Cup holders Chelsea defend their trophy against Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils have qualified for a Vitality Women’s FA Cup final for the first time in their short history as a professional women’s team.

The semi-finals took place over the weekend. Manchester United were twice given a scare by Brighton & Hove Albion in their tie at the Leigh Sports Village before eventually recording a 3-2 win. The second semi-final saw Chelsea defeat Aston Villa 1-0 at The Poundland Bescot Stadium, although the Midlands club threw absolutely everything that they had at The Blues over the course of the 90 minutes.

With 65,000 tickets having been sold for the final, this year’s showpiece will be watched by a record crowd. The current attendance record stands at 49,094 which was set for last season’s final between Chelsea and Manchester City.

The 2022/2023 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final will kick-off at 2.30pm on Sunday 14 May. Neutral area tickets are now sold out while tickets for both Chelsea and Manchester United fans will go on-sale this week through the respective clubs. Hospitality tickets remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
