Arsenal midfielder Frida Maanum has signed a new contract with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
Maanum has spent the last two seasons with Arsenal after joining the club from Linköpings FC. The midfielder has been heavily used by The Gunners. She has made 78 appearances for the club in all competitions in which she has scored 20 goals. Maanum really stepped up this season, becoming one of the first names on the Arsenal teamsheet. The player has scored some crucial goals at a time where Arsenal were missing key players. Maanum’s new contract is a well-deserved reward for her impressive form.
After signing her new deal, Maanum said “It feels great – I love Arsenal and I’m looking forward to continuing my time here. This is a place where I can develop and learn from the players around me and take steps both on and off the pitch.
“We’ve had some really special moments this season and the connection with our supporters has been fantastic, so I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
In-line with Arsenal’s club policy, the length of Maanum’s new deal has been left undisclosed.
