Former Arsenal forward Carter returns to the club as she prepares for next move

Former Arsenal forward Danielle Carter is back at the club as she prepares herself for her next career move.

The 30-year-old was pictured on the Arsenal training ground earlier today. It is understood that Carter is training with The Gunners ahead of her next move which is likely to take place later this summer.

Carter is currently without a club after leaving former side Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of last season. The forward spent two years with The Seagulls in which she scored seven goals in 41 Barclays Women’s Super League appearances.

With Arsenal’s London Colney training base being sparsely populated due to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, the club are understood to have offered Carter the opportunity to stay fit with them while she lines up her next move. The forward returns to the club which she served so well for more than a decade. Carter made 184 appearances as an Arsenal player, scoring 60 goals. She won 12 trophies with the North Londoners including five league titles and four Vitality Women’s FA Cups.

Carter left Arsenal in 2020 on the back of two Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries. The player has proved her fitness in the last three years and she will be raring to go when the new season begins.
