Durham have completed the signing of forward Amy Andrews.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Wildcats this morning.
Andrews moves to the North East after most recently playing her football in the United States. The forward has spent five years with Western Illinois University. Andrews has broken a number of goalscoring records in her time Stateside.
The Birmingham-born forward has now deemed it to be the right time to return to England and she will be hoping to show her quality in the Barclays Women’s Championship this season with Durham.
After signing on at Maiden Castle, Andrews said “It’s unreal to be here.
“It’s a dream come true and I just can’t wait to get started.
“I’ve worked all my life for this. I went a different route to most players, so to finally get here – I’m absolutely over the moon.
“I’m very fast and a very passionate person. I love scoring goals too.
“I’m so excited to play in front of the fans too. I’ve heard a lot about them and I can’t wait to meet them all and make them happy.”
Andrews becomes Durham’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
