Spurs forward Ayane pens new two-year deal

Tottenham Hotspur forward Rosella Ayane has signed a new two-year deal with the club ahead of the new season.

The Lilywhites announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 27-year-old has spent the last four years with the club after joining Spurs in summer 2019. Ayane has made 66 appearances for Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored three goals. The forward played her most minutes in a single season to date for Spurs in 2022/2023 and she will be hoping to kick on with the club this year after extending her contract with the North Londoners.

After signing on again with Spurs, Ayane said “I’m over the moon. For me, Tottenham Hotspur is my home, it is somewhere where I have spent four years and I’ve loved every second.

“I don’t think that any player’s journey is ever easy so I’m delighted to be here for another two years and to call it home.”

News of Ayane’s contract extension at Spurs comes just 24 hours after youngster Lenna Gunning-Williams signed her first professional deal with the club. With a new head coach now in place in Robert Vilahamn, Spurs’ squad-building should really gather pace in the coming weeks.
