Jepson to remain at Spurs in senior assistant head coach role

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Vicky Jepson has been appointed into a senior assistant head coach role.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this morning.

Jepson was an assistant to former Spurs boss Rehanne Skinner. She was appointed into an interim head coach role in March following Skinner’s sacking and guided Spurs to Barclays Women’s Super League safety with a game to spare.

Following the conclusion of the season, Jepson confirmed that she wanted to remain with Spurs and it has today been revealed that she will assist new head coach Robert Vilahamn whilst also working closely with the club’s academy teams to aid with players’ progression into the first team.

After being appointed into her new role, Jepson said “Robert and I already have good chemistry in terms of our working relationship. We understand each other and are both really excited to get on the grass when the girls return on 7 August.

“I’m hugely invested in our squad, as people and also in their development as players. It’s an elite performing environment that we’re creating and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my journey here.”

With their management team now in place, Spurs are expected to announce player news in due course.
