Sheffield United have completed the signing of full-back Jodie Hutton on a free transfer.
The Blades announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Hutton joins Sheffield United on the back of winning promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League with Bristol City last season. The defender made 10 appearances for The Robins in the Barclays Women’s Championship in 2022/2023. Hutton has twice won the Barclays Women’s Championship title with the player having also achieved the feat with Aston Villa in 2019/2020.
The 22-year-old will now be hoping to complete a Barclays Women’s Championship treble with new club Sheffield United.
After signing on with The Blades, Hutton said “I’m buzzing to be here. I’m delighted to finally get it done and dusted and I’m ready to go for pre-season. I know most of the girls, I’ve played with a few, I’ve been messaging them non-stop waiting to get going.
“I’ve known Jonathan (Morgan) for quite a long time and it’s been a time coming where I finally get to play for him. It makes me more excited and one of the reasons I signed because I saw what he did last season.”
Hutton becomes Sheffield United’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
