Arsenal boss Eidevall pens new long-term deal

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has signed a new long-term contract with the Barclays Women’s Super League club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.

Eidevall has spent the last two seasons with Arsenal. The Swede helped bring an end to the club’s trophy drought last season as the North Londoners won the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup. Arsenal also reached the semi-finals of last season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The 40-year-old has his eyes set upon bringing more glory to Arsenal and he now has an extended period to chase further success after signing a new deal.

After signing on again with The Gunners, Eidevall said “I’m full of pride to have signed a new contract with this football club. I’m aware of the huge privilege and responsibility that comes along with my role at Arsenal.

“This is a special place with a special group of players and staff and we all believe there is a great future ahead of us here, so I am delighted to have agreed a new deal.”

Arsenal are next in action on Friday evening when they face Manchester United at the Leigh Sports Village in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
