Leicester City have completed the signing of Japanese international forward Yuka Momiki on an initial 18-month deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this evening.

The 27-year-old attacker joins Leicester City off the back of a spell playing her football in Sweden with Linköpings FC. The player has also turned out for Japanese club Nippon TV Beleza and American side OL Reign in her senior career to date.

On the international stage, Momiki has been capped by Japan on 40 occasions while she has scored 14 goals for her country.

After sealing her move to Leicester City, Momiki said “I am so excited to be here and want to play as soon as possible. I want the fans to see how happy I am to be here, and I can’t wait to see everyone. England is the best country to play football in and this has always been my dream.

“The manager has passion and a vision for this project and that’s why I came here. The Club has specific goals and plans, and everyone is following that philosophy.”

Momiki becomes Leicester City head coach Willie Kirk’s second signing of the January transfer window.
