Midfielder Bradley joins Charlton Athletic on two-year deal

Midfielder Katie Bradley has joined Charlton Athletic on a two-year deal.

The Addicks confirmed the signing via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 22-year-old joins Charlton Athletic off the back of a short spell with Blackburn Rovers.

Bradley spent five years in the Manchester United academy system before moving across the city to the Manchester City academy where she stayed for three years.

Bradley joined latest club Blackburn Rovers in January 2024 after spending three years playing for the UCF Knights in the United States. During her time at Ewood Park, the midfielder made six appearances in blue and white. She helped the Lancashire side to cement a sixth-place finish in last season’s Barclays Women’s Championship.

After joining Charlton Athletic, Bradley said “I think the personal development and being able to work with Karen [Hills] was important for me as I think we will be a really good match together. The style of football is attacking and that is something I want to be playing in. In my position, I want to be keeping the ball and retaining possession.”

Bradley becomes Charlton Athletic’s first new signing of the summer transfer window. Further squad news will be announced by the club in due course.
