Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of West Ham United forward Princess Ademiluyi on a season-long loan deal.
The Addicks announced news of the arrangement via a post on their official club website yesterday afternoon.
Ademiluyi has been in and around the West Ham United squad since she was 16 years of age. The 18-year-old has already appeared in the Barclays Women’s Super League on 13 occasions. Ademiluyi is rated highly by The Hammers and she recently signed her first professional contract with the club.
West Ham United manager Rehanne Skinner was keen to loan some of her young players out last season, however, the youthfulness of her squad restricted her from doing that as much as she would have liked. With Skinner’s squad now growing in experience, the time has come for forward Ademiluyi to go out on loan and get some regular game time.
After joining Charlton Athletic, Ademiluyi said “I feel amazing, it’s the best birthday that I could have wished for.
“I am very excited to play in the Championship because it’s competitive and can help me find my form and grow into the player I want to be.
“Looking at the season, the team had previously came so close to promotion, so I felt like I wanted to come here and help make that dream come true. I also believe that working under Karen [Hills] will allow me to progress as a player.”
Ademiluyi is Charlton Athletic’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
