Blackburn Rovers will play all of their home matches in the Barclays Women’s Championship at Ewood Park this season.
The Lancashire club announced the news via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
Blackburn Rovers have already played a handful of their fixtures at the club’s main home stadium in recent seasons. The fanbase has been gradually building at Ewood Park and it has now been revealed that all of the club’s home league fixtures will be played at the venue this season.
Speaking following this afternoon’s announcement, Blackburn Rovers head coach Simon Parker said “We are really pleased all of our home matches will be played at Ewood Park this coming season.
“Ewood Park is our home and it is steeped in history and many memorable moments. We had a strong record at Ewood last season and we are looking to build upon that this year.
“The players have reported back for pre-season training and the hard work now begins for the start of the season in September.”
The club are yet to confirm where any home domestic cup fixtures will be played. Blackburn Rovers previously used Lancashire County FA in Leyland as their designated home venue.
