Welcome to our second weekly update on the new FA Women’s Super League Full-Time website.
It has been so busy this week for us here at Manchester City Women OSC. We had a ball down at Wembley last Saturday as our girls defeated a very spirited and ever-improving West Ham United side.
The majority of our members were on the free coaches which had been very kindly provided by the club and it really was a great day out. Many of us were seconded for media duties as well, with Jayne our secretary Interviewed live on Radio Manchester, while most of us appeared on TV and in The Guardian’s photo essay online.
A real family atmosphere at Wembley is always a joy to see and this year was no exception. Lifting that famous trophy in-front of over 43,000 fans, combined with our FA Women’s Continental League Cup triumph has made up for us just missing out on the FA Women’s Super League title and means both us and Arsenal can enjoy the party when we meet at Boreham Wood this afternoon. This time it is us here at Manchester City OSC who are rewarding our members with a free coach and we were up at the ungodly hour of 6am this morning for the 12:30pm kick-off.
Safe travels to all and we hope that fans of all FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship clubs enjoy the last weekend of the season.
