Scottish International midfielder Christie Murray is the latest player to leave Liverpool according to reports on the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s bottom club’s official website.
The 30-year-old Bellshill-born midfielder leaves The Reds after spending the last two years at Prenton Park and joins Courtney Sweetman-Kirk and Anke Preuss on the Liverpool exit list.
It has been confirmed that Murray has left the Merseyside club at what was the end of her contract. The Scot has played an important role for The Reds since joining the club from Glasgow City in summer 2018 and leaves Liverpool aftet having made 36 appearances in all competitions.
The midfielder started her career north of the border with Queens Park before enjoying her first of two spells with both Celtic and Glasgow City.
In 2014, Murray joined Arsenal where she spent one season before moving to Bristol City for a similar spell. The player then had her second spells with Celtic and Glasgow City either side on a 16-month stint with Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Murray had proved to be a consistent performer for latest club Liverpool since her return to the English game two years ago but the player is now again looking for a new club after coming to the end of her contract on Merseyside.
