Everton manager Willie Kirk has continued his summer squad building with the signing of Danish international forward Nicoline Sorensen according to reports on The Blues Girls’ official website.
The 22-year-old Malov-born attacker has joined The Blues Girls from Danish top flight side Brondby where she has spent the last two years of her career.
It has been reported that Sorensen has agreed a two-year deal with Everton while she has been handed the squad number 14 by The Blue Girls.
Despite her relatively young age, Sorensen has already enjoyed plenty of success as a senior player. The forward has won four league titles which have come with her last three clubs. Sorensen lifted the Swedish Damallsvenskan title with FC Rosengard before she won two Danish Elitedivisionen titles with Brondby. The player’s latest league title again came in Sweden when Sorensen lifted the 2017 Damallsvenskan trophy with Linkopings FC.
On the international stage, Sorensen has been involved with the Danish national team at senior level for almost four years. The forward has 30 caps to her name while she has scored six goals. The player was drafted into the Danish squad which finished 2017 UEFA Women’s EURO runners-up to The Netherlands.
Sorensen is the third player to join Everton ahead of the new season, joining Poppy Pattinson and Ingrid Moe Wold at Walton Hall Park.
