Former Everton full-back completes move to Liverpool

Former Everton full-back Taylor Hinds has joined Liverpool ahead of their first campaign in the FA Women’s Championship according to reports on The Reds’ official club website.

The 21-year-old left The Blue Girls earlier this summer following the expiry of her contract at Walton Hall Park and the defender will now be representing the red side of the city in the coming season.

Hinds spent the early years of her career in North London with Arsenal but the player was starved of first team playing opportunities. In 2018, the defender joined Everton and she went on to enjoy two-and-a-half seasons playing for The Blue Girls.

With the level of competition in Willie Kirk’s Everton squad having significantly increased last season, Hinds again found herself out of favour. The full-back made six appearances for The Blue Girls in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League with just two of those outings being starts.

After signing for latest club Liverpool, Taylor told the club’s official media channels “I’m so happy to be here, I’m happy to be a Red and already it’s been overwhelming, everyone has been so welcoming.

“I just can’t wait for the season to get started. I love Liverpool as a place and I know the fans here are brilliant so I can’t wait to make myself proud, my family proud and the fans proud.”
