Manchester City look to now be the fans’ selection for the 2020/2021 Barclays FA Women’s Super League title according to the results of an exclusive FA Women’s Super League Full-Time fan poll on Twitter.
For most of the summer, Chelsea have looked like the ones to beat this season but the recent signings of Chloe Kelly, Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle at Manchester City, along with the potential arrivals of Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood may have swayed opinion.
In an exclusive FA Women’s Super League Full-Time fan poll ran on our Twitter account earlier today, we asked fans who they think will lift the 2020/2021 Barclays FA Women’s Super League title. Fans voted in their numbers with a whopping 53.3% giving their support to Gareth Taylor’s Manchester City side. Chelsea were the second most popular selection with 26.7% of the votes while 2018/2019 champions Arsenal attracted a 13.3% share from the poll.
The 2020/2021 Barclays FA Women’s Super League title race has always looked like being dominated by the top three clubs and this is a view which is shared with the fans with just 6.7% holding the ambitious opinion that an outsider can lift the trophy.
