PREVIEW: Crystal Palace v Liverpool

Liverpool will be hoping to build on last weekend’s strong performance against London Bees when they travel to Hayes Lane to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Reds recorded a routine 3-0 win over London Bees, a side that Palace hammered 5-0 earlier this month.

Dean Davenport’s Palace team come into this game on the back of last weekend’s 1-0 loss to FA Women’s Championship leaders Leicester City. The Eagles are sure to fancy their chances against a Liverpool side that have only won one of their last four in the league.

Bianca Baptiste is in some form for Palace, and with eight goals in the league this season, she is The Eagles’ top scorer. She will have to be at her best to trouble Liverpool, who are trying to keep their faint hopes of a title push alive.

Liverpool midfielder Ceri Holland has made an impressive start to life on Merseyside by scoring two goals and she could be one to watch in her side’s latest game.

A 4-0 win was recorded by The Reds in the reverse fixture back in December and Palace will have to be much better on their own turf to get any points from the latest meeting.

Crystal Palace’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against Liverpool is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday with highlights to be made available on the FA Player.
