Midfield duo Zoe Cross and Paula Howells have signed new deals with Lewes for next season.
Both players will be hoping to enjoy the benefit of playing a full season for Lewes next term with Cross having only joined the club in January and Howells having seen her progress hit by injury.
Lewes announced the news of Cross and Howells’ new deals in a post on their official club Twitter account this afternoon. The pair join teammates Tatiana Saunders, Rhian Cleverly, Nicola Cousins and Sophie O’Rourke in signing on again at The Dripping Pan for the new season.

Cross was one of two former England youth internationals to bolster Lewes’ ranks during the January transfer window. She was joined in Sussex by fellow midfielder Mollie Rouse. Cross made four appearances for The Rookettes in the FA Women’s Championship.
Howells joined Lewes in December 2019 following a spell with London Bees. She has appeared for the club on five occasions in the FA Women’s Championship, although she will be hoping for an injury-free 2021/2022 which will allow her to showcase her talents in full.
Lewes will be bidding to better their best-ever FA Women’s Championship finish of fifth place when the new season kicks-off.
