Brighton & Hove Albion defender Hack secures permanent move to Lewes

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ellie Hack has secured a permanent move to FA Women’s Championship club Lewes according to reports on The Seagulls’ official website.

The 18-year-old joined The Rookettes on a season-long loan deal in August last year and she will now join the club on a permanent basis after impressing Lewes boss Simon Parker.

Hack came through the Brighton & Hove Albion Dual Career Academy system and she went on to make her Barclays FA Women’s Super League debut for the club in a 3-0 defeat at Manchester City in early 2019. Th youngster has also made a couple of appearances for Albion in the domestic cups.

During her time on loan at Lewes, Hack has made 17 appearances in the FA Women’s Championship. She scored in the club’s impressive 2-2 draw with Liverpool at The Dripping Pan in early November before helping Lewes record a top half of the table finish.

It is understood that Hack has signed professional terms with Lewes for the 2021/2022 season and she will link-up with her teammates again for pre-season.

Hack becomes Lewes boss Parker’s first signing of the summer. The club have recently announced the news that nine players have agreed to remain at The Dripping Pan for next season.
