Birmingham City have today confirmed that new contracts have been offered to several members of the squad.
The Blues are looking to retain the vast majority of the team which battled so bravely for Barclays FA Women’s Super League survival against all odds this season.
The club have today provided an update on the contract situation. It has been reported that Abbi Grant, Hannah Hampton, Rebecca Holloway, Gemma Lawley, Ruesha Littlejohn, Sarah Mayling, Connie Scofield, Harriet Scott, Claudia Walker, Lucy Whipp and Sophie Whitehouse have all been offered new deals while Everton loanee Georgia Brougham has also been asked to join the club on a permanent basis. Youngster Lily Simkin has been offered professional terms while Birmingham City are still talking to Mollie Green and Emma Kelly over their futures.
The Blues have confirmed one player exit. Young midfielder Heidi Logan is moving on after spending a number of years with the club.
At present, Birmingham City have just Christie Murray and Veatriki Sarri contracted for 2021/2022, although the club have confirmed that their new head coach will be given the green light to bolster the squad once they have been appointed into role. The Blues have been without a head coach since former boss Carla Ward resigned from her position last month following one season with the club.
