Durham manager Lee Sanders’ summer squad building has continued with three more players extending their contracts with the club.
Defensive pair Sarah Wilson and Ellie Christon signed new deals with The Wildcats last week, along with top scorer Beth Hepple and it has now been confirmed that three more players have pledged their futures to Durham.
In a series of official club press releases issued to FAWSL Full-Time, Durham have advised that defender Kathryn Hill and midfielders Mollie Lambert and Sarah Robson have extended their contracts with the club. Hill and Lambert have signed on for two more years while Robson has given her services to Durham for another 12 months.
Right-back Hill has shown her versatility this season by also competing for a place at centre-back. The player could become a Durham centurion next season.
Midfielder Lambert joined Durham from neighbours Sunderland last summer and has proved to be an effective option both as a starter and from the bench. Lambert could face her former club in next season’s FA Women’s Championship.
Northern Irish international Robson has spent the last five years with The Wildcats and has over 100 appearances to her name. Robson will be hoping to again perform well for Durham next season as she pushes for a place in the Northern Ireland squad for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.
Durham finished in second place in this season’s FA Women’s Championship, eight points behind champions Leicester City.
