Everton have completed the signing of Swedish international forward Anna Anvegard according to reports on The Blue Girls’ official website.
The 24-year-old attacker joins Everton on a free transfer after recently leaving Swedish club FC Rosengard at the end of her contract. Anvegard has signed a two-year deal at Walton Hall Park.
The forward is Everton manager Willie Kirk’s third signing of the summer following the recent additions of Kenza Dali and Toni Duggan.
After completing her move to the club, Anvegard said “It feels really amazing. I’ve been talking with Everton for a few months, and it feels amazing that it’s done.
“I can’t wait to play in the best league in the world and to play for a massive club like Everton.
“It will be really amazing.”
Anvegard has spent the last two seasons with FC Rosengard, helping the club lift the Damallsvenskan title in 2019. The player has also played in the latter stages of the UEFA Women’s Champions League with the Swedish club.
On the international stage, the striker has netted eight goals in 19 appearances for Sweden at senior level after making her debut in 2018.
Everton boss Kirk is far from done in the summer transfer window with the club set to sign at least four more players.
