Manchester United midfielder Lara Miller has completed a move to FA Women’s Championship club Lewes according to reports on The Rookettes’ official website.
The youngster has endured a difficult start to her playing career as a result of long term injury but she will now be hoping to make a real impact for Simon Parker’s Lewes side.
Miller spent two years in the Manchester United academy after returning to the club for a second spell from neighbours Manchester City but the midfielder was unable to seriously push for a place in the senior squad.
With Miller keen for senior game time, it has today been confirmed that the player has joined Lewes. The youngster joins a team which exceeded expectations last season by recording a top half of the table finish in the FA Women’s Championship.
After sealing her move to The Dripping Pan, Miller said “I feel that I have come back stronger and even with the season disrupted by the pandemic, I feel that I have been able to grow as a player and person and I am now ready to take this next step.
“I have been following the club’s progress and I am really looking forward getting started and experiencing The Dripping Pan on game day.”
Miller becomes Lewes boss Parker’s third signing of the summer following the recent additions of Ellie Hack and Rebecca McKenna.
