London City Lionesses have completed the signing of former Rangers defender Carly Girasoli according to reports on The Pride’s official website.
The 19-year-old moves to Princes Park after spending a little under 18 months with the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) club.
Prior to her time at Rangers, Girasoli was previously on the books at Glasgow City. The youngster experienced UEFA Women’s Champions League football for the first time with the club while she won two league titles and the Scottish Women’s FA Cup.
After becoming professional for the very first time last year, Girasoli will now be looking to push on in her development with new club London City Lionesses. After joining The Pride, the player said “I’m delighted to have signed with LCL. From speaking to the coaching staff, I could tell that this is a very ambitious club and I knew straight away that it was something I wanted to be a part of. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
Girasoli is a Scotland Under-19 international. The player has also previously turned out for The Tartan Army at Under-17 level. The defender will be hoping to impress at London City Lionesses as she bids to move up the age groups in the Scottish national team to reach the senior squad.
