Former Birmingham City midfielder Heidi Logan has joined FA Women’s Championship club Lewes according to reports on The Rookettes’ official website.
The 20-year-old was in the first team environment for three years at former club Birmingham City but her progress was largely hindered by an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which sidelined her for many months.
Logan was an unused substitute on six occasions for the Blues in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League in what was a frustrating start to her career.
With the player having now joined Lewes, she will be hoping for both a fresh start and better luck on the injury front.
After joining The Rookettes, Logan said “I’m really happy to have signed for this club, and cannot wait to get started.”
Lewes boss Simon Parker has now brought in five new faces so far this summer. The club first brought in midfielder Ellie Hack on a permanent deal after she impressed on loan at The Dripping Pan last season. Northern Irish international defender Rebecca McKenna soon followed.
Parker has also signed Manchester United youngster Lara Miller and former London City Lionesses forward Freda Ayisi in what has been a busy summer for the club so far.
