Swedish international pair Emma Kullberg and Julia Zigiotti Olme are being linked with moves to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Both players have seen their contracts at Swedish club BK Häcken expire and according to reports in their homeland, it is being suggested that Kullberg and Zigiotti Olme are set for moves to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Swedish media outlet Fotbollskanalen have reported that deals for the pair have already been agreed by Brighton & Hove Albion, although sources in England are yet to confirm the rumoured transfers.
Experienced defender Kullberg has enjoyed a long career in the Swedish game and she has been a virtual ever-present for all of the clubs which she has represented in recent years. The player is a current Swedish international with nine senior caps to her name.
Former BK Häcken teammate Zigiotti Olme has been capped by her country on 17 occasions. The forward is yet to score her first goal for the Swedish national team. Like Kullberg, Zigiotti Olme has been a key member of the BK Häcken side.
Both players won the Damallsvenskan title with their former club under their previous identity of Göteborg FC while they have UEFA Women’s Champions League experience under their belts.
Should the pair be announced as Brighton & Hove Albion players, they would take the total number of Swedish players who are playing their football in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League up to nine.
