Leicester City defender CJ Bott has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes earlier today.
The New Zealand international has spent the last 18 months with Leicester City after joining the club in early 2022. She has made 21 appearances for The Foxes in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Bott was a hugely important player for Leicester City last season and the club have moved quickly to retain her services for the next two years.
After signing on again with The Foxes, Bott said “I feel great signing for the Club. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. It’s incredible to see how far the team has come in that time and it is a really exciting time to be part of the Football Club.
“I think I’ve developed as a player here and this league is so competitive, so it’s definitely where I want to be. I really love the values of the Football Club and it’s something I’m really pleased to be a part of.”
News of Bott’s contract extension comes fresh off the back of Leicester City making Australian international defender Courtney Nevin their first summer signing.
