Liverpool have completed the signing of forward Natasha Flint on a free transfer following her release by former club Leicester City.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds earlier today.
Flint spent three seasons with Leicester City in which she scored 25 goals in 63 appearances for the club in all competitions. The forward scored 17 of her goals as The Foxes won the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2020/2021. Flint struggled for game time with Leicester City in the first half of last season and she joined Scottish giants Celtic on loan in January.
Celtic boss Fran Alonso wanted to sign Flint on a permanent basis this summer but it is Liverpool who have won the race to secure the player’s services.
After signing on with The Reds, Flint said “It feels amazing, no other words, I’m really looking forward to it.
“Hopefully, I can bring here what I had at Leicester and hopefully bring some goals. I think my time at Celtic has developed me massively and speaking to Matt (Beard), he thinks I can do that even more here which I think so too.”
Flint is Liverpool’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
